So I've been looking through the ''Mistake uploading photo'' tag and I see nix but complaining, and the worst is that nobody is doing anything to help. (EDIT: i mean seriously does it accept too much of an effort to scroll this tag a flake to detect this post???? complaining on that tag wont solve annihilation smh) I remember a really good tutorial from a k-pop blog but I can't find information technology ;A; so I'll try to share some of my tips to upload those abrasive oversaturated gifs.

Used tools:

• Photoshop CS5 extended (You can use any version)
• Grainy textures. You can discover grainy textures here.

The most likely reason your gifs aren't uploading is considering they are either oversaturated/have also many frames, though the second choice is very unusual, but it happens.

• Grainy textures

For some reason, tumblr doesn't like strong cyan/magenta colors, or whatever other oversaturated colour. This is when the grainy textures come up.

Grainy textures are great when it comes to ''dissimulate'' the low quality of the gif (For case, you have this gif that was 1,3 mb but yous lowered the quality in order to get the size to 999kb.) It too makes a great effect, and the skilful part is that information technology can aid us avoid this mistake. This is what I do:

I usually set the texture to screen, and lower the opacity to xx%-40%, depending on how saturated the frames are.

IMPORTANT!!

ALWAYS call back to unify the texture to each frame. (This selection is extremely useful, every bit it volition utilize any option yous cull to all your frames.) You can do this by simply clicking the tertiary button of the unify pick, every bit shown in the picture below.

Play with the opacity setting until you get the gif to upload. Remember that our first priority is to upload the gif and try to leave the coloring intact even though it is hard. Personally, I don't like this choice, but your gif will definitely upload, equally the chief problem is your gif saturation, desaturating it is an obvious solution that will work 99% of the time, just we don't want those colors gone!

Recommendation? Play with both the saturation/vibrance settings until you get your gif to upload. At this indicate, playing with the levels/curves is not recommended, only you can e'er give it a effort!

Tip: As I said before, Tumblr doesn't like cyan/magenta colors as well as any other oversaturated colour. If y'all experience similar you lot're getting the Mistake uploading photo because of just one color, click on the hue/saturation option, choose cyans /magentas and subtract the saturation, as well as any other oversaturated color.

Endeavour uploading your gif, if it doesn't upload, attempt lowering the saturation even more, if it doesn't upload, move onto the next option.
